“I enjoy designing each project individually. I draw upon my experience and reference library for inspiration.”

—Christopher Schoen

Christopher Schoen has been creating fine cabinetry, furniture and restoring historic homes throughout New Hampshire and Pennsylvania since 1991. After earning his bachelor‘s degree in American Studies, Chris took a position with a leading historic restoration firm in Philadelphia. The training and experience he acquired as he performed museum quality restorations on homes such as Coventry House (where Ben Franklin tested the first Franklin Stove) and The Aaron Hughes House (the home of a signor of the Declaration of Independence), provided the inspiration for his distinctive style. His furniture and cabinetry reflect traditional American architecture, clean lines, and his devotion to the creative process.

Now, his work is sought after by homeowners desiring cabinetry, fine furniture and historic interior restoration. Chris‘ dedicated mind and attention to detail are the perfect match for a discerning homeowner‘s special project. His recent work involves exploring studio furniture, where he experiments with motion, balance and the organic extension of furniture within the home. Influenced by Sam Maloof, Wharton Escherick and George Nakashema, this latest journey provides what Chris best describes as “a certain freedom to create outside the lines.”
